Meet Assistant Quartermaster Drew Bolen

Muskogee Scouter Drew Bolen serves Gilwell Troop 1 as an assistant quartermaster. Drew is also an assistant scoutmaster in Troop 98, chartered by Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ga.

Drew earned the rank of Eagle Scout and spent nine years as a youth Scout, which included a variety of troop leadership positions in addition to serving as lodge chief of Chattahoochee Lodge. As a youth Arrowman, he also received both the Vigil Honor and Founders Award. He has also earned both youth and adult religious awards. His adult Scouting experience, which spans the past 12 years, includes his current role as assistant scoutmaster.

An Antelope Patrol member of Chattahoochee Council Wood Badge Course SR-1078 in 2010, this course is Drew’s first time serving on course staff. He comes from a family of Wood Badgers: his father Gary, brother JB, and sister Kathryn all have earned their Wood Badge beads -- with Gary and Kathryn also previously staffing Wood Badge courses.

A proud Eagle Scout, Drew comes from a family that includes him and three other immediate family members who earned Scouting's highest rank.
