Feb. 1 participant orientation finalized

Scouters attending Wood Badge Course S9-91-14 will have the chance to get their first tastes of what Wood Badge is all about at the course orientation, which is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. eastern time at Camp Frank G. Lumpkin.

Orientation is an excellent opportunity to learn what's in store for Course S9-91-14 and meet the staff and other participants you will be spending time with during the two course weekends Mar. 7-9 and Apr. 11-13. The orientation will include an overview of course objectives, mechanics, activities, and expectations. Participants will also receive preliminary information about the Wood Badge ticket and second weekend overnighter.

Participants should expect to soon receive course registration packets with information about the orientation, forms, and other pre-course needs. In the meantime, check out the course website or Facebook page -- or come back to the Gilwell e-Gazette blog -- to stay in the know.
