Meet Troop Guide Joshua Crawford

Muskogee District Scouter Joshua Crawford will serve Gilwell Troop 1 as a troop guide. Additionally, he is a Webelos den leader for Pack 6, chartered by Trinity Episcopal Church. As a troop guide, he will mentor his patrol, facilitate some patrol activities, and assist patrol members as they prepare and complete their Wood Badge tickets.

An Eagle Scout, Joshua touts more than 20 years of collective Scouting experience as a Scout and Scouter in both Tukabatchee Area Council (Montgomery) and Chattahoochee Council. In addition to serving as a den leader for the past three years, he served two summers as a summer camp health officer and as a two-time staffer at Philmont Scout Ranch. He is currently a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.

Wood Badge Course S9-91-14 represents Joshua’s first time to serve as a Wood Badge staffer. He attended Course S9-91-12 and was a member of the Bear Patrol.

Professionally, Joshua is a paramedic in Columbus. He is married to Michelle, and together they have a son and daughter who are both active in their respective Scouting programs.
