He is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow and has served in various capacities and has received several awards recognizing him for his “cheerful service” to the Order.
A member of the Owl Patrol, Ted first attended Wood Badge in 1978 as part of Occoneechee Council’s Wood Badge Course SE-CS-4 in Raleigh, N.C. In 2010, he served on staff of Chattahoochee Council Wood Badge Course SR-1078 as assistant scoutmaster for facilities/quartermaster. In 2013, he served as assistant course director for the council’s National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course in addition to serving as assistant scoutmaster for facilities/quartermaster for the 2009 and 2010 NYLT courses.
Ted is a retired Army master sergeant from the 3rd Infantry Division’s Inspector General’s Office. He and his late wife Lynne, a Scouting volunteer herself, have three adult children all of whom have as extensive Scouting resumes as their parents. His son Bill is also serving on S9-91-14 course staff as assistant scoutmaster for facilities.
