Meet Assistant Scoutmaster Debbi Lytle

Your assistant scoutmaster for program of Gilwell Troop 1 is Muskogee District Scouter Debbi Lytle. Debbi also serves as a member of the Muskogee District Committee in addition to her Wood Badge duties of overseeing course presentations, programs, and scribes.

For more than a quarter-century, Debbi has served Scouting as an adult volunteer. As a result, she has amassed a wealth of training, service and recognition at the Cub Scout, district and council levels. Some of her accolades include the Commissioner’s Arrowhead, District Award of Merit, Ft. Benning District Follow Me Award, Ft. Benning District Scouter’s Award, and both bachelor’s and master’s of Cub Scouting through the University of Scouting.

Debbi originally attended Greater Alabama Council (Birmingham) Wood Badge Course SR-CS4 as a member of the Eagle Patrol. Since then, she has staffed three courses before S9-91-14: as a scribe for both SR-942 (2008) and SR-1078 (2010), and as head scribe for S9-91-12 (2012).

Debbi is married to our very own course director, Tom, and together they have three adult children: a son who earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and two daughters — as well as two granddaughters.
